Trigger is a stray dog in the shelter on the Greek island Thassos. The shelter is run by
Susannah from England. For more than 20 years she has been taking care of stray dogs
with a fantastic enthusiasm. It has not always been easy for her. Many of her neighbours do
not sympathize at all and they have done many terrible thing to ruin the shelter,
including poisining 42 of the dogs.
The Danish organization "Greek Dogs" supports the shelter: Donations, adoptions and
distant adoptions. The shelter needs all the help it can get - there are lots of stray,
abandonned and abused dogs in Greece.
Trigger was brought to the shelter by the vet Stathis.
He had been found on the mainland by Stathis on his way to Thassos. Trigger was lying on
the road and had had his ears cut off with a simple pair of scissors. Stathis picked him up
and after treatment he brought him to the Susannah´s shelter. Trigger is a loveable gentleman, but perhaps he has lost a bit of faith in humans (who can blaim him?)
The shelter does not have any further info on Trigger. He seems to be happy where he is now.
As from 2009 all Misch'Amies puppies will get a Greek stray in distant adoption,
and when leaving home the  adoption fee will be paid for a year by Misch'Amies Poodles,
We sincerely hope that the new owners will continue to help the poor dogs after that.
Lissy´s puppies - born on February 21st 2009 have these adopted friends in Greece.
